Le Zhang and Elden Kelly
It’s inspiring to see diverse musical styles that work together beautifully. Elden Kelly, guitarist and singer/songwriter comes from a background of jazz, neo-classicism, with middle-eastern and American roots influences. Le Zhang‘s arrangements of Chinese traditional music in a modern jazz context are enchanting in their own right. Together they form an excellent duo, both Le and Elden singing in both English and Chinese. I filmed their last performance together at Miles’ Café in New York City.
